  • Profile and listing content: bios, item photos, descriptions, prices, sizes, categories, locations, and other listing details you choose to publish.
  • Messages and offers: chat content, offer history, negotiation records, and support messages.
  • Order and payment details: order records, payment status, transaction references, refunds, delivery status, wallet balances, and related accounting entries. We do not store full card numbers on our servers when a payment provider handles those details.
  • Identity or verification details: if required for seller verification, payouts, fraud prevention, or legal compliance, we may collect documents or business information.
  • Location data: approximate or precise location if you grant permission, for delivery estimates, nearby listings, fraud prevention, or support.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, device model, operating system, app version, crash logs, browser type, language, and usage analytics.
  • Support and feedback: records of your requests, complaints, and any information you send us voluntarily.

4. How We Use Information

We use personal information to operate and improve the platform, including to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Show listings, process purchases, and support messaging between users.
  • Process payments, refunds, payouts, escrow flows, and delivery-related charges.
  • Send order updates, offer alerts, delivery updates, and security notices.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, spam, impersonation, and unauthorized access.
  • Provide customer support and resolve disputes.
  • Analyze app performance, fix bugs, and improve features.
  • Comply with tax, accounting, legal, and regulatory obligations.

We use secure third-party payment providers to process transactions. Depending on the feature used, your data may be shared with payment processors to verify payments, process refunds, send payouts, or keep financial records. We may store transaction references, payment status, wallet balances, and ledger entries to manage escrow, refunds, disputes, and accounting.

8. Messaging and Marketplace Content

When you send messages, make offers, upload photos, or create listings, that content is stored so the platform can function. We may review content reported for abuse, scams, fraud, spam, illegal activity, or policy violations. We may also use automated tools to detect spam and protect the platform.

9. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies on the website to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage, and improve performance. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

10. Push Notifications

If you allow notifications, we may send push notifications about messages, offers, purchases, delivery updates, security alerts, and account activity. You can turn off notifications at any time in your device settings.

11. Permissions We May Request

We only ask for permissions when they are needed for app features. These may include:

  • Camera: to let sellers take listing photos or scan documents when needed.
  • Photo Library / Media: to upload listing photos and profile images.
  • Location: to estimate delivery fees, show nearby listings, improve search relevance, and help with delivery or fraud prevention.
  • Notifications: to send alerts about messages, offers, orders, and security events.

You may deny or revoke permissions at any time through your device settings, but some features may stop working.

12. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including account management, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and accounting. For example, transaction and tax records may be kept for the period required by law. When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymize it, or securely archive it where required.

13. Account Deletion

You can delete your account directly inside the app. For example, go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. If you use our website, you may also request deletion by contacting support.

When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize the personal information associated with that account, unless we are required to keep certain records for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, safety, or dispute-resolution reasons. Deleting your account does not remove records that we are legally required to keep.

If you submitted a deletion request, we may need to verify your identity before completing it.

14. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, update, delete, or export your personal data. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Mirva is not intended for children under the minimum age required by the laws in their country, and in any case not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us so we can review and remove the account where appropriate.
